Welcome to the Earned Wage Access Services Act Resource Page.

This Act, effective on May 7, 2025, establishes guidelines and requirements for companies offering earned wage access services to Utah consumers. These are businesses that allow access to earned but unpaid income before scheduled paydays. For information regarding the requirements for businesses that meet the definition of an Earned Wage Access Service please refer to HB0279.

Important for providers operating in Utah: the registration period with the Division of Consumer Protection will be available on May 7th, 2025, but is not required until October 6, 2025.  Please check back on our website on this page for the most updated information.
